Betty is a results-oriented creative director focused on leading and building integrated marketing campaigns through corporate identity, print, packaging, digital and environmental experiences.

Her proven track record demonstrates her ability to ensure innovation and enthusiasm for creative ideas and brand integrity for her clients.  Betty started her career in New York at Alexander Isley Design, working with clients such as WHSmith, Entertainment Weekly, the Cooper Hewitt Museum and Nickelodeon. She was also an Art Director at Fitch in both the Boston and San Francisco offices and later  joined CKS Partners to help relaunch the Apple brand. Her entrepreneurial spirit lead her to join Addwater, a start-up creative and strategic agency focused on branding and design. During her time with Addwater, she worked with corporations and various start-ups in industries including, but not limited to technology, construction, food and entertainment.

Prior to starting Betty Lin Design, she was the creative director at Clif Bar. Under her leadership, she established a strong, in-house team to re-brand and launch Clif Bar, Clif Shot, Luna Bar and Nectar Bar through packaging and comprehensive marketing programs.  

Betty is also an educator. She was an adjunct professor at the California College of the Arts for seven years where she taught and advised students in the undergraduate core and graphic design programs.  She created curriculum that included graphic design theory and methodology, typography and print.

As a senior creative manager with Hanesbrands Inc. (Winston Salem, NC), Betty was responsible for the creative strategy and execution of Hanes.com, Champion.com, Maidenform.com, BaliBras.com and OneHanesPlace.com. She led a team of designers and writers to develop and execute creative across all digital platforms— website, email and social media.

Currently, Betty is the creative director at RLF Communications, a public relations agency with clients spanning the globe and the United States.  With Betty’s skillset and years of experience, she works with her clients to build and create stories that engage the audiences that matter most to them.

Betty has a BA in History from the University of California at Berkeley and a BFA in Graphic Design from the California of College of the Arts.
